We would like to invite you to our Talk Money Week event, looking at how we can support financial wellbeing.
If, as a practitioner, you find it uncomfortable to talk to service users/clients about money, you’re not alone. Every year Talk Money Week encourages people to open up about their finances. By having a conversation, you can help people improve their physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
We are hosting an online information event on Tuesday 9 November from 10am-11.30am – Click here to sign up.
During the event, we will hear from Kevin Duffy from The Money and Pensions Service on why we should all ‘Talk Money’. Lynne Kerr from Advice Works will discuss benefits take-up, and we will introduce our new Affordable Credit Officer, Yvonne Hughes, who will tell us a little about the project. Zaffir Hakim, IN-Ren Network Officer, will also advise on how best to engage with ethnically diverse communities.
Whether you are voluntary or public sector, if you support clients who would benefit from making improved choices about credit, then you are welcome to attend. You will hear from a range of speakers and have a chance to ask questions.
Please register on Eventbrite and a MS Teams link will be sent to you on Monday 8 November.
We look forward to welcoming you.
